Hello and Welcome! I’m Stephanie Sarris. My first grown-up apartment gave me a blank canvas with which to craft my post-college life. I ended up – with a few missteps – creating a refuge from the hectic world of my career in corporate training and development. Friends loved to stop by and visit, remarking on how comfortable they were in my space.
Pretty soon, my weekends filled with accompanying friends on furniture shopping trips, and eventually, sewing custom window treatments and couture slipcovers for handed-down sofas and chairs. I may even have sewn a frilly shower curtain or two… It was a different era.
I fell in love with how the right furniture and colors transform cookie-cutter spaces into welcoming homes.
And the power of a comfortable home to serve as a strong foundation for going out into the world focused on achieving business dreams, unencumbered by nagging little details about messes at home.
This is the heart I brought into my business. While interior design can be an exclusive world where you don’t feel you have the right taste, budget or ability, we’re all about inclusivity.
Outside of my work, I remain a keen observer of all things style related. This extends into hobbies like fashion design and crochet. Lots of reading – fiction, non-fiction, gorgeous coffee table books – love it all! Saturday nights might find me on the dance floor, reliving my childhood study of ballet. Or at the Pilates or yoga studio. Running I reserve for others, unless I’m being chased! I still haven’t decided whether I love dogs or cats more. With one adopted rescue cat who revels in her status as an only child, my future dog adoption is on hold.
